Why We Make Koa Shore in Australia (and Source Our Tallow from New Zealand)

We get asked where everything comes from — so here's the honest answer.

Made in Australia, in small batches

Every bottle of Daily Defence is formulated, made and bottled in Australia, in small runs. Small batches mean we can hand-check quality and actually stand behind what goes out the door.

Why our tallow comes from New Zealand

Our grass-fed beef tallow is sourced from New Zealand, where the grass-fed cattle and rendering quality are excellent. We'd rather be upfront about that than pretend everything comes from one paddock — the tallow is from NZ, the product is made here.

Why we don't claim "100% Australian"

Because it wouldn't be true. "Made in Australia from local and imported ingredients" is the honest line, and honesty is the whole point of this brand. You can read every one of our 15 ingredients on the label.

Why small and local matters to us

We're a small, family operation on the Victorian Surf Coast. Staying small lets us care about the details — and back the local community we're part of.
